ACA Professional Liability Insurance
All students must obtain ACA Professional Liability Insurance. This insurance must be maintained every semester the student is enrolled in one of the following classes and the practicum/internship. Applications are outside June Cattell's office at Wardlaw Room 266 or through the ACA website.

For Interns in School Counseling:
NOTE that you must complete the Certification Application Packet, available in Wardlaw 113, by the following dates:
For Spring: April 15 of the Prior Year
For Summer and Fall: December 1 of the Prior Year
SLED/FBI Background Check
Due to anticipated changes in state law, all students working with children within a counselor education course, and/or doing their full-time school-based clinical experience will need to complete the SLED/FBI background and fingerprinting process prior to beginning your full-time clinical experience. This requirement applies to students registering for EDCE 709: Counseling through Play, EDCE 716: Leaders in Counselor Education plus the EDCE 802E/S and 805E/S (practicum & internship in school counseling).
