I cannot download some of the data sets from the course web page. How do I do that?

Some data sets are not set up for downloading. You may be trying to download one of these. A skill that you need to learn in this class is how to enter data into statistical software for different kinds of designs. Because of this, some of the data sets are only provided as a web page. You will have to enter the data yourself.

If you are trying to download a file in SPSS format, note that not all browsers download the file easily. All web pages are checked using the latest version of Microsoft's Internet Explorer. You can also successfully download the files with Netscape Navigator, but the procedure may a bit different. Click on the link of the file you want to download. Some funny characters may appear on the screen. Pull down the file menu and choose "Save As." Input the information as to where you want to save the file, then click "OK." You can also feel free to bring the instructor a disk and he will put the file on the disk for you.

When is the homework key posted on the web for each homework assignment?

It is posted sometime after it is handed in to the instructor and before the instructor hands the graded work back to the students.

Are the homework and tests that are posted on the web the same as what are given out in class?

Yes they are. Occasionally something additional will be put on the web (e.g., a practice test or quiz), but this is clearly identified as being extra material.
