Animals

Our travels through southern Africa lead us to Etosha in Namibia and Chobe in Botswana.  Both places were magical although I must say that I didn't discriminate very well shooting photos of elephants and zebras -- pronounced with a soft e locally.  I sat at the watering hole for hours and watched as if short plays were enacted.  The giraffes timid and patient waiting for other animals to move on.  The elephants dominant and making sure that the rhinos knew their place -- the rhinos of course took it out on other animals especially the regal ghemsbok.  Most interesting was the baby elephants really showing who ruled by defying their fathers when it was time to leave the water.  Anyway, included in this section are elephant, zebra, kudu, and finally a croc with a bird perched on its back.
